'Hyttetur' in Norwegian is when you go to a cabin in the middle of nowhere for the weekend to "disconnect" from the everyday life. Yesterday Dori, Christian and I drove to Christian's parents' cabin in Skaun (40 min south from Trondheim) after we ate lunch at a sushi place downtown. We didn't stay for the night, we just ate dinner, dessert and got a grand tour of the cabin. They bought it last month from a gay couple with great style. The cabin is painted green, blue and pink, which is pretty unusual for a cabin but it's really cute, like country French, if you know what I mean. And they have a gazebo!! Cinthia and Priscilla were already there and came back home with us at the end of the day.
